ICON XO-Flex™ paddling jacket
A lightweight, close-fitting, super-stretchy, wind- and waterproof* outer layer, combined with the comfort and insulation of an inner base layer.
The XO-Flex is like no other paddling jacket: the exterior (“XO”) repels the elements, while the “Flex” construction gives high stretch and maximum freedom of movement for high-performance paddling.
It can be worn directly against the skin or over a separate base layer when you need extra warmth.
When to use it: the XO-Flex (often called a “skin” by athletes) is a popular choice among top paddlers for races and key training sessions in cool, windy or wet weather. For everyday training it is worth alternating it with other kit so that the outer layer lasts longer.
Note: buoyancy aids and life jackets can rub against the XO-Flex outer layer and wear it over time.
Designed for: sprint and marathon kayak and canoe, and surfski. Also suitable for SUP, sea kayaking, rowing, dragon boat and outrigger.
Care: turn the garment inside out before washing. Delicate wash at 30 °C in mild soapy water only – do not use detergent. Rinse thoroughly. Do not wring, spin or tumble dry – air dry only, away from hot radiators, other heat sources and direct sunlight. Do not iron, bleach or dry clean.
The XO-Flex is certified PFC-free – made without persistent perfluorinated chemicals.
* The fabric is waterproof, but the seams are not sealed.
